Here's some information about Sun light and the times during the day when it's relatively safe to bathe in the Sun light.

First of all, UV rays are the only rays from Sun light which cause "sun burn." There is no health risk from any part of the spectrum higher than UV light (x-rays and gamma rays) from Sun light as these are all blocked by Earth's atmosphere.
